Being Challenged

Last weekend we travelled to Sydney NS to see family & speak/preach at  Westside Bible Chapel about Mongolia. We shared how God used us to help & serve the people in Mongolia as well as how God has changed us forever.

I also taught 2 lessons of the Perspectives on the World Christian Movement at the ywam Truro NS base this past Wednesday. My lesson was on the 3 Eras of the Protestant world mission & their strategies. Teresa & I are also taking the class. Many of you may question as to why I am taking the class, but also taught a class. There is something that God can do when you are reading, preparing, praying over the material when you have to teach it versas if you are just studying it.

God poured into me & taught me so much as I was preparing for the class & even was teaching me as I was teaching the class. Teresa, the base staff (who were present) & the students I think did not realize that God was pouring into & teaching me as I was teaching. I am recommending everyone that I know to take this class, everyday Christian, Christian in some type of leadership, Pastor/Priest of any kind & missionary.  It is revolutionizing me & renewing my mind in incredible ways.

Place Your Life Before God
So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.
Romans 12:-1-2  The Message

Please pray for Teresa because this weekend she will be leading a session at "Challenge" a youth conference in New Minas NS. She will be sharing about our time in Mongolia as well as encouraging others to missions. We both wholeheartedly believe that EVERYONE needs to go on at least a short term mission trip (+2 weeks to 2 months.) When you are in a different culture, language God can really teach you in ways not possible in our own culture, period.
