Let it Snow

Christmas is in the air with lots of snow, cool weather & December only a week away. It is hard to believe how fast time has gone. It only seems like yesterday we crossed the border back into Canada from YWAM the US.
Two weeks ago we visited Stewiacke Baptist Church to share about Mongolia & enjoyed the people so much. One lady, who’s name a can’t remember was crying after we shared during the sermon time. She said “I will be supporting you because God said I needed to support a family weeks before.” She explained that she & God were having an ongoing discussion; she did not know any missionaries & did not like missionaries because they always came across as though they were on a vacation in a warm place. During our sharing time the discussion with God kept going with Teresa & I being part of it, not even realizing we were. We shared that we would be giving up many of life’s conveniences such as public schooling for our children, our diets would have to change, having a vehicle, being so far from friends & family, etc... We also shared about how cold it is in Mongolia & how long their winters last.

We shared many times that our time serving in Mongolia was amazing. However, when thinking about serving long-term we really wanted to serve in a country where life would be a little more convenient & possible warmer. God gave us his heart for the Mongolian people & the thought of not returning now would be much harder. After sharing this & other things the discussion with God ending with this wonderful lady saying that she would support us. God continues to amaze us as we meet more & more people.

For he said to God, “I will proclaim your name to my brothers and sisters. I will praise you among your assembled people.” Hebrews 2:12

Oh, for those who wish to know, we only need $500.00 of our onetime expense & $700.00 in monthly support. “Praise God,” who gives us each & every blessing no matter how great or small.
