The kids & I were so excited today. Teresa came home this afternoon from a week long women's conference in China. She had a wonderful time. She had a change to really bond with some women living here in Mongolia & women living all over Asia.
The kids & I had a fun time doing school together, going to friends homes while I (with my Mongolian dell on) went to Mongolian friends homes to celebrate Цагаан Сар (the Mongolian White Month or new year), having friends sleep over our place, playing, cleaning the house & more. But, there is something different when mum is away. All three of us were excited to have her home.
Please pray for me. Tomorrow I have to spend the entire day at the Suzuki dealer as they try & fix our car. We don't really know what is wrong, but need to be there so we can figure it out together. I am praying that it's fixable & that it will not cost too much money. I also need to be there just to make sure other things don't go wrong if I wasn't there to watch them work. Deep down I am looking forward to it because it gives me an opportunity to get to know the staff, practice my Mongolian & hopefully build a good relationship with them too.
Many things break on me here not because they are poor quality, but it puts me in a place where I am forced to meet people (usually Mongolians/Russians) & start a relationship. After 3 years of being here I have learned that self sufficiency & independence is not part of His plan for our lives.
Please pray for Kiel. Today we went to the fair well party for Kiel's last 2 friends & their parents. They will be leaving for Switzerland next week & not planning to return. Please pray for Kiel as he deals with losing his friends & that new friends would be found.
