This is the (air pollution) smog that we live in all the time from October until April each year & we have lived in this for 3 years thus far. All of the foreign workers in this country leave at least twice a year for physiological & health reasons. Even Mongolians that can afford it leave at least once a year. One of the largest struggles with Mongolians in this country is depression. Leaving is not an option for us due to the cost & we are feeling it.
I am so thankful that our kids seem to be ok, but I can say that the poor air quality taking its toll on our bodies. It started this past summer that even in the summer you can see the layer of smog hovering over the city. Teresa has not really been able to sleep well since August & I have been struggling with sleep for over a month now. Please pray that our bodies will be able to heal. Kiel has asked if we will be still sick at Christmas & how that will be so hard. He said that Christmas will not be the same with Teresa & I sick & really tired.
We have read 2 world air quality studies that were done this Fall & both studies showed that Ulaanbaatar Mongolia (the city we live) is the 2nd worse, worse air polluted city in the world.
